Education

I took this program because I am always curious and interested in software, hardware, computers, operating systems, terminals, and just how the Internet works in general. I think it's really cool! The Internet we have today is like a digital grimoire where knowledge is vast!!!

If it is okay to say, I actually enrolled this course because I believed that during Covid-19 era, a lot of workforce will switch to remote mode. I didn't know I made the right choice! 😂 I could have chosen Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering because of my love in Mathematics, but I thought well computers and devices are really cool and we always use them in our daily lives so, I took up BSIT.

My time in Mapua Univeristy were a lot of challenges, sufferings, and perseverance. My wits and intelligence were both tested here. I have to implement some strategies which helped me get through exams, and after each exam I studied and reviewed my notes again and again. I love taking down notes during my online classes where my mind is always engaged. I enjoyed the lectures in Java programming, C/C++ programming, Networking, Information Security and Assurance, the OSI layer, and more.

My specialization track, Application Development (APP-DEV), involved broad diverse sets of subjects such as programming desktop applications using Java and Swing, creating mobile applications using Java and Android Studio, and I also tackled developing RESTful APIs using Spring Boot MVC, JPA, CrudRepository, JpaRepository, and Maven. Lastly, in this track I was also introduced with AWS Lambda Gateway which I think is really cool!

I graduated with Honors, Dean's Awardee!

To God Be all the Glory! It's His Mercy, Grace, Miracles, and Divine Love I graduated in expected time.

I am also thankful with the help of my friends 💗 they made Mapua and its journey bearable. I love all of them. I miss them too...

Door2Dorm: A Website Application for Dormitory Management System with Implemented Facial Recognition Biometric Security

The study aims to propose a web-based Dormitory Management System (DMS), implement a facial recognition feature, and fingerprint recognition feature for security biometrics which are capable of doing the following:

1. Establish direct communication between admin and tenants for issues, reports, and payment acknowledgment

2. Establish security logging for both authorized and unauthorized detected faces

3. Establish fingerprint recognition as a counterchecking when facial recognition has a false negative output

Securing Dormitory Through Biometric Recognition System: A Case Study of Door2Dorm

The study presents Door2Dorm, an IoT-based Dormitory Management System (DMS) that integrates facial and fingerprint recognition biometrics. The system enhances dormitory security and management by providing robust identity verification and access control. Through functionality testing, cross-browser testing, usability testing, user acceptance testing, and user experience testing, the study demonstrates the effectiveness of Door2Dorm. The conclusion confirms the successful development of the management system with facial recognition and fingerprint security features. It highlights additional key features such as records management, payment management, direct messaging, and security logging for administrators, tenants, and visitors. The integration of the Silent- Face-Anti-Spoofing library enhances system security. During my senior high it was the most fun I ever had because I learned to be around with different kinds of people. I am very happy that I made many friends all of whom have a special place in my heart.

San Beda Robot Society Reseach Project:

Smart Garbage Bin: Waste Level Monitoring, Fire Detection, Temperature and Humidity Monitor, and Alarm-Response Systems

A proposed innovated low-cost garbage bin by adding features to a low-cost garbage bin using Arduino and micro-sensors for detecting fires, monitoring waste levels, and temperature and humidity for industrial and commercial uses at manufacturing centers that deal with hazardous wastes.

This is where I grew up and learned to love studying and hard work. 😊
